URS BAUMGARTNER
Urs has a background as an electrical engineer and holds an MSc from the ETH Zurich. He has worked in various high tech companies in Switzerland as well as in the Silicon Valley in roles as diverse as software developer, project manager, team leader and head of the software department. He pursued all his R&D work with one goal in mind: to create the next generation of innovative products to enlighten the customer.
Urs is now working as trainer, coach and interim leader to help companies become more agile in order to manage the complexity of the daily work that innovative companies face. Volunteering at the SwissICT UX group and the organization of Meetups enables him to bring people together to foster exchange and work in cross-functional teams.
Being an early adopter in fields such as photography and sports helps him understand the challenges and opportunities of new technologies and services. He was among the first in Switzerland to swap his skis for a snowboard and his road bike for a mountain bike. Urs seeks exchange with startups and incubators in order to support and learn with them.
Urs was one of the founding members of the flowdays cooperative. He is founder of TEAL SYSTEMS GMBH.
